Descrizione:
Experiment:
John Dalton's Experiment was where he placed in 6 different liquids and checked when each one would evaporate, between 0° and 100° Celsius.
Discovery:
Once the experiment was done, he discovered that the liquids all ended up evaporating before 100° C, so he concluded that atoms can be put together in order to create compounds, but every vapor was equivalent to water. He also proposed the theory that atoms are divisible, have different masses, can't be created or destroyed, and are all the same in respect for each element.
Model:
In the model, the first stage shows one hydrogen and one oxygen (Dalton assumed that Atoms paired singularly, not with multiple of the same element). In the end, it shows a "particle" of water. But, because it was one of the last liquids to evaporate, he propsed it was because one of the atoms had a greater mass than the other.
