Louis Aime Augustin Le Prince was the first person to shoot a motion picture using a single lens camera. This film was called "Roundhay Garden scene" and was very important to allow further developments in creating film. The fact that he was the first person to shoot a moving picture sequence using a single lens camera and a strip of film, created an extreme sense of significance to inspiring other filmmakers like the Lumiere Brothers several years later.
