As the populations of the Prairie districts increased, many began to request more representation in the Vesperian Parliament.

Many proposals were drawn up to redraw the prairies, such as one large province or simply adding the lands to New Hanover, Nova Albion, and Manitoba.

In the end, the pre-existing borders were used and the Districts of Helena, Saskatchewan, and Assiniboia were made into three new provinces; the first since Prince Edward Island. The District of Athabasca was made into it's own territory,
