Due to Large amounts of American immigrants, China began to look more western, adopting the tradition of Halloween. Several Nationalist officials planned an attack on Nanjing, bombing the homes of American immigrants and any house reportedly handing out Halloween candy.

This saw lead to hundreds of Americans Leaving China, and Halloween now became a respectful holiday in china, honoring the lost lives of the Chinese and Americans.

The Officials behind the bombings were executed in public. However Westernization seemingly came to a halt in China
