When my mother was experiencing trouble with setting up her new cellphone late in the evening, I was able to call technical support and received assistance through the phone from someone working in India. Globalization has allowed for technical companies to outsource customer service jobs to countries with different timezones so that customer service is available at all times. Had there not existed such a convenience, I would not have been able to set up my mother's phone that night, nor would I be able to receive instant help for any other technical issues.
