Taylor and Austin take a detour/mini road trip and arrive early Monday.

Taylor and Austin get brunch at a diner just outside Nashville and discuss the upcoming school year. Austin is excited while Taylor is anxious and Austin promises himself he'll push himself that little bit harder in tryouts if it means he may have a better shot at protecting Taylor this time around.

Austin watching Taylor tense up as they cross the Tennessee line and frowns to himself. Pulling out his phone, he tries to find one last tourist attraction or detour. It may not help in the long run but right now he'd settle for lifting some of the weight already settling back onto her shoulders.

What he ends up finding is a diner with a high rating and comments about blueberry pancakes that are supposedly better than sex just outside city limits. It's going to have to be enough, he decides and begins trying to talk Taylor into one more stop. Promises of him buying and the reminder that at home right now their options might be dry cereal, cold pizza, or stale donuts if mom hasn't had time to shop. He cheers just to make her roll her eyes as she pulls off the highway.
