JFK was the 35th president of the United States. While riding to Dallas, Texas, in a convertible, with the first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, Governor John Connally of Texas, and his wife. Throughout the parade route he waved to the excited crowd. At 12:30 pm, Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots and killed President Kennedy and seriously injured Governor Connally.
