Malcolm X was a religious leader and an African American nationalist who worked mostly in New York City. While preparing to make an address in the Manhattan Audubon Ballroom, someone in the crowd rushed forward and shot Malcolm in the chest, along with two others who charged with semi-automatic handguns.
