The United Nations was an organization created in California, signed by 26 countries agreeing to keep peace between each other in troubled times. The purpose of the United Nations was to fix the broken League of Nations, something that had failed in the past. The Soviet Union was apart of the 1st 50 countries to join this organization, which is surprising considering their later actions during the war.
