Medibank has not been appointed as provider of the new service. The new National Telehealth Service represents a new model for primary care delivery and shows a move towards provision of integrated services in the community, led by GPs and other community service providers. Over the next few months we will work with the successful provider (Homecare Medical Ltd) and the Ministry of Health to transition the Healthline service towards the end of the year.
