'Fabric of the Human Body'
Descrizione:
|1543|
Andreas Vesalius was a dwarf who corrected over 200 of Galen's mistakes (such as saying the jaw-bone was only one bone) by dissecting bodies. He greatly improved the understanding of the human body. He started a craze of studying the human body, it became very fashionable. By proving Galen wasn't perfect he encouraged others to question his works. He made dissections common which lead to further discoveries. His work was published all over Europe and his detailed illustrations were copied into other books (including medical textbooks).
