The CCC was a federal program started by FDR to provide relief to the unemployed. This program created jobs for those without one after the great depression, and provided tasks for the men to complete for pay. These tasks were jobs that were beneficial to the environment and benefitted the land. They were environment friendly and this program was the reason behind the creation of hundreds of national parks.
