Who: The Poland Invasions of September 1st, 1939 was a joint invasion in Poland by Germany and Russia.

What: The Poland Invasion or The September campaign was an invasion of Poland by Russia and Germany. The Germans invaded the north, south and western part and Russia the eastern. The Germans used blitzkrieg a war technique that caught the polish army off guard since it was such a fast-moving tactic.

When: All of September 1939 into early October that same year.

How: After the German army was remilitarized they had plans to take back land that in their mind was “stolen” from them after World War I. They now had many fast-moving powerful tanks in their arsenal which the polish stood no chance against. This was the main reason their whole mission succeeded so easily.

Why: Apparently according to Adolf Hitler he invaded Poland to get “more living space for the German people”
