1 gen 1200 anni - Postal System in the Mongol Empire & China
Descrizione:
Mongol Emperor Genghis Khan established a postal station system called Örtöö, which allowed traveling officials, foreign dignitaries, and military men to take shelter and reprieve in addition to providing the transmission and delivery of official mail. The postal stations were set 15 to 40 miles apart and reached all the way to China by the time Genghis’ grandson, Kublai, inherited the empire.
