24 gen 1940 anni - Czechs in France

Descrizione:

After the outbreak of World World II, a Czechoslovakian national committee was created in France under Edvard Beneŝ, and sought recognition internationally as the exiled government of Czechoslovakia. After this, some small successes occurred such as the French - Czechoslovak treaty of October 2, 1939. This treaty allowed for the reestablishment of the Czech army on French territory. The Czechoslovakian army in France was created on January 24, 1940. Some Czechs in the army, along with various Czechoslovak fighter pilots, took part in some of the last stages of the Battle of France. This event would considerably go into the political and military categories, due to the fact that Czechs were helping out and participating in another country's army.
