The ruling of the Court in this case prohibited the segregation of interstate and intrastate transportation facilities. This included buses, trains, planes, and other forms of public transportation that had been segregated since their existence. Segregation of interstate and intrastate transportation and communication violates the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, and all laws found in violation are void.
