1 gen 332 anni a. C. - Sack of Persepolis
Descrizione:
When Alexander the Great reached Persepolis, the capital of the Achaemenid Empire, he sacked it. He destroyed the royal structures in particular including the Palace of Xerxes I. This destruction was likely symbolic and revenge centered since he depended on the pre-existing structures of leadership in order to be able to conquer territory as quickly as he did.
