Chester Philips orders the creation of a company of uniquely disciplined individuals to fight behind enemy lines. He assigns Captain Sam Sawyer to create four attack squads. The Fourth Attack Squad would be commanded by Sgt. Steve Rogers, nicknamed The Invaders. James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is reassigned at Roger's request, to join the unit. Professor Phineas Horton and his assistant Thomas Raymond are recruited to make use of his Horton Cells, using experimental combat suits used by Jim Hammond and Mark Todd. Additional members of the regiment included John Liberty, Fred Davis Jr., and William Nasland.
