meanwhile, Xerxes has been organising a greater
invasion of Greece. he planned to build a floating bridge that his army could use to cross the narrow strait name the Hellespont that seperates Europe from Asia. A massive army from all over the Persian Empire banded together and stormed into greece. It was also supported by a large fleet sailing down the coast. To meet the the threat 31 Greek states called off all of their arguments and agreed to unite against the Persians. The leading Greek states were Athenians with naval battles and Sparta with land based battles.
