The country of Algeria negotiates an agreement between Iran and Iraq to end the border conflict of the Shatt al-Arab. While short-lived, the agreement was signed, providing Iran with half of the border area in exchange for stopping their support of the Kurdish people through the Iraqi-Kurdish War.
