The ATTENDING PHYSICIAN’S NOTE of August 5, 1951 reads: This patient has been crying a great deal of late and has been feeling hopeless. There is a certain oddness about her and a blocking of thought that suggests schizophrenia. Impression: Schizophrenia. The DISCHARGE NOTE of August 6, 1951 reads: This patient after being in the hospital 24 hours has decided she can no longer stay in the hospital. Is being discharged to continue treatment on an out-patient basis. Diagnosis: Schizophrenia.
