Aerion sets his sights on The Order and Zod in retribution for his family's deaths and the destruction of his kingdom. He attempts to do this by securing the blood of all Order members to enact torturous rituals on them but cannot begin his plans as The Order are secure in their secret facilities. Hoping to access them he tries to force Faustine to hand over the location of The Order's secret base. However, she does not know the location either and retorts him. Angered by this disregard, Aerion uses blood rituals of Faustine to torture and bound her into a contract with himself in exchange for the blood of Zod. Howell attempts to intervene on behalf of Faustine but is also caught in Aerion's magic.
