The young prince Aerion now in his late teens devours his caretaker, seeing him as weak. At last without restraint, the last scion of Heilig claims the throne of his birthright. Strengthened by his now fully awakened supernatural blood he reclaims the ruins of Königsnetz and makes his home in the Heilig Catacombs. From there he begins to influence the population of Pepperland through intrigue and blood magic.
