King Philip attacks English frontier town of Swansea in response to English settlers squatting on his land. War breaks out across NE. Very high death toll and almost all Indigenous people in the NE region are displaced. Christian Indians are detained on Deer Island, many die over the winter. King Philip attempts but fails to recruit the Iroquois to his cause.
