The Intolerable Acts were a series of laws passed by British Parliament that increased British control in the colonies. They forced colonist to house soldiers, closed the Boston Port made colonists consider it a British colony, and reinstated British governance. This caused an upstir in the Colonies due to the people of Boston already being fed up after the Boston Massacre, and later caused the Boston Tea Party.
