Same year as the AR-10 with the same manufacturers, they have created the Colt AR-15. This gun instead of being a battle rifle is instead a select fire automatic rifle and instead of being a gas-operated rotating bolt it has a rotating bolt with a direct impingement system. This gun normally is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO rounds. There are others rounds that can be fired from this gun like .223 Remington, 45 acp, 5.7x28mm, 6.8mm Remington SPC but conversion kits need to be used and changes for the gun unlike the AR-10, and unlike the AR-10 only having a 20-round mag this gun has a variety ranging from a 20-round magazine to 45 and even up to 90 or 100 rounds.
