The Briton warlords begin reorganizing the country for themselves. Amlawdd of Ergyng, part of Gwent is elected as the High King at the Concilium provinciae. The borders of Britain are defined:
- Britannia Prima is divided into the territories of Powys, Dyfed and Gwent from the northern portion, now known as called Deheubarth (with Vitalis remaining as chief); and Dumnonia from the southern portion (with Conomor ap Tutwal becoming chief).
- Hen Ogledd is formed from Brittania Secunda (with Coel Hen remaining as chief).
- Maxima Caesariensis and Flavia Caesariensis, now called Lloegyr, dissolve into the smaller tribal areas that had existed before the Roman invasion, including Kent, Durotrigia, Atrebatia, and Regni.
