On November 30th, the Reston monkey house permitted the Army to clean out one room in the monkey house, room H. By this point, the story of the monkey house had gotten to the news media, and the operation needed to be done stealthily to avoid the obstacle of the news. When the Army got to the faculty to recon for the operation, the entire building stunk and was of poor sanitation due to a mixture of the ill monkeys and the ceasing of operations due to the ill monkeys. The Army planned to use the back side of the building to house the equipment for the operation to avoid attention. The monkey room and any adjacent rooms known by the Army were air sealed, and the Army prepared for the full-scale operation.
