Conqureing Hungary (1526) Turkish forces conquered Hungary, and then 3 years later they conquered Vienna. Turkish holdings posed a serious threat to Italian and Spanish shipping in the Mediterranean.

Nicolaus Copernicus (1543) Nicolaus Copernicus published a treatise, On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres. This paper poroved that the earth was not at the center of the universe, but it was actualy the sun.
Isaac Newton (1687) Newton released his findings on the universe. He was able to connect the universe through gravity and how all the planets are moving in ellipses.
Emilie du Chatelet (1740) Emilie du Chatelet established her reputation as a prominent female scientist with her three-volume work on the German mathematician Gottfried Leibniz.
