The first steel mill was created in 1859 and by 1860 over 300 people were employed. This not only gave numerous people jobs but it also produced us with a significant amount of steel used for many every day objects.Typewriter

The radio allowed for a larger broadcast of world news and entertainment. It meant that everyone can hear the same thing at the same time and that if something happened in the world, most poeple would be informed at the same time.
