1 mai 1924 - Washing Machine The earliest washing "machine" was the scrub board, or wash board, invented in 1797. The washing machine kept peoples' clothing clean and fresh. Even though it has been modified over the years, its purpose still remains the same and is used by many as a way to efficiently clean their clothing.
