18 juin 1812 - June 18th 1812 America signs a declaration of war against the British Empire. Some historians speculate they did this because of expansionism (wanting more territory), and from Canadians trading guns with the natives (first nations) which would be a threat to them, this would be a threat because the natives were mad at them for taking their territory and would want to take it back.
