Description:
The NBAC was established to protect human subjects in research (Childress, 2017). The Commission issued six reports during its five-year existence. One of the reports, Ethical and Policy Issues in Research Involving Human Participants, is published in 2000 and makes recommendations pertaining the the expansion and increased scope of IRBs, and an increase in training and accountability (Hansen, 2001).
