Descripción:

In this period of time, Islam was expelled from the Holy Land through the Crusades. With a more confident Christian church reasserting itself, it triggered the construction of new churches and cathedrals across Europe in the fully fledged Romanesque style of architecture, or "Norman" as it is known in Britian. This in turn led to a large wave of commissions for stained glass and sculptures in the Romanesque style bringing back the art of sculpting.
