The drifter tribe, the Crom-Cruach, notorious for their extremely messed up practices, were attacked by a settlement party. A split off containing Raven, Qrow, and their father was beset by grimm. A band of hunters found the group and offered help for a price. Raven's and Qrow's father sold them, who were 7yrs old at the time, to corrupt hunters. The hunters then sold them to a slaver's camp. where they stayed with for nearly a month before the Darnwen set upon them for trespassing and set their cargo free.
