Bleeding Kansas (1 ene 1854 año – 1 ene 1861 año)
Descripción:
Bleeding Kansas was an event that was crucial to the civil war. The Kansas-Nebraska act overturned the Missouri compromise and let Kansas decide whether or not it wanted to be a free or a slave state. Thousands of settlers on either side of the argument moved to Kansas to try to influence the decision and eventually violence broke out.
This furthered sectionalism because it increased tension between free states and slave states because of the vote in Kansas.
