Erie Canal (4 jul 1817 año – 26 oct 1825 año)
Descripción:
The Erie Canal was significant because it connected Lake Erie with the Hudson River. This helped greatly with transportation with passengers and goods. This helped to somewhat ease sectionalism because it created
a water route between New York City and Buffalo. It also opened the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes region to trade. This ultimately helped to unify these sections of the country and assist with nationalism.
