European East India Companies (31 dic 1600 año – 1 jun 1874 año)
Descripción:
The British East India Company was an English and later British joint-stock company. It was formed to trade in the Indian Ocean region, initially with Mughal India and the East Indies, and later with Qing China. The company ended up seizing control over large parts of the Indian subcontinent, colonised parts of Southeast Asia, and colonised Hong Kong after a war with Qing China.
The Dutch East India Company founded by a government-directed amalgamation of several rival Dutch trading companies in the early 17th century. With its pioneering institutional innovations and powerful roles in global business history, it is often considered by many to be the forerunner of modern corporations.
The French East India Company was a commercial Imperial enterprise, founded in 1664 to compete with the English (later British) and Dutch East India companies in the East Indies.
All were defunct or dissolved by the late 19th Century.
