UHD Workshop (Houston) (23 feb 2017 año – 24 feb 2017 año)

UHD ($1,500) – This was a one-day workshop (one afternoon and the next morning) given at the University of Houston-Downtown by Bucky, Milissa, and John. It was attended by groups of faculty in a program called the Course Innovation Initiative which takes “barrier courses” and puts a team together to try to improve them. Barrier courses are courses that are significantly important to specific programs, but students are not persisting through drops, withdrawals, or failure. Around 60 faculty attended the training sessions. We have been asked back this May (2018).
