After the devastation of the Civil War, the American economy began a period of intense industrialization and expansion as more and more people got rich from monopolizing industries. Eager to take part in this success, millions of immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe, Asia, and even the Middle East and Canada come to America. It ends when the Great Depression hits America.
