The World Wars (28 jul 1914 año – 2 sept 1945 año)
Descripción:
During the modern period, the two major events that took place were WW1 and WW2. The war was in response to many things, one main thing being economic power. The war was between The Central powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire) and The Allied powers (Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Japan, and The United States). Britain didn't join the war until Germany's invasion of Belgium, to which Britain had an alliance with. The war ended in 1918 after Germany surrendered, thus signing the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 and caused social and economical changes within Britain and Russia. The treaty caused Germany to be finically ruined, thus causing The Great Depression. Germany then invaded Poland, which was one reason to the start of WW2 in 1939. This war involved Britain, France, The United States, the Soviet Union, and china, against Germany, Italy, and Japan. In 1945, Germany surrenders and marks the celebration of VE Day in Britain. After, The United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and China agreed to peace in which resulted in the signing for the United Nations.
