Prince Henry the Navigator was a Portuguese Duke responsible for the massive maritime exploration expansion that Portugal (and subsequently other European nations) had in the 15th century. He is known also for starting what is known as the Age of Discovery, where Europe started colonizing almost everything they could get their hands on.
