Having received equipment and weapons from the USSR, North Korea invades the South.
The UN votes for the withdrawal of troops (the USSR couldn't block this as they were boycotting the UN over China) .
Given that the North doesn't, the USA as well as other Western countries with UN backing sends troops to support Rhee.
The Southern army (with support) drive the invasion back to the 38th Parallel
