Presidency of Vicente Fox (27 dic 2000 año – 30 nov 2006 año)
Descripción:
Vicente Fox was the first President which was not associated with the PRI party in 71 years, ending the trend of many Presidents in that era. He was associated with National Action Party and was very conservative compared to former PRI Presidents. He took over during the economic crisis, which created a disapproval of PRI members. Much of his presidency was controversial, citing the tensions between countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia. His most important policy was the creation of new laws to prevent illegal drug trafficking and immigration in the United States.
