Modernism is a philosophical movement that includes many cultural changes and trends. this movement was streched through the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Unexpected breaks with traditional ways of viewing and interacting with the world. narrators used new technique and new themes. they mixed many literary styles. Some modern classics are written such as the old man and the sea by (Ernest Hemingway), the great Gatsby by (F. Scott Fitzgerald), and of mice and men by (John Steinbeck). So they felt the horror because they could not imagine how the future will look like after the world wars- The modernism describe the Dystopia life in the war. The People got shocked many times under this period the great shock was the world wars. The war effected many narrators writing style.
