Ottoman Empire was an empire created by Turkish tribes in Anatolia, was started by Osman, and grew to be one of the most powerful states in the world during the 15th and 16th centuries. The Ottoman Empire was big on assimilation and all the people that wouldn't join them willingly they bought with the promise of gold and administrative positions. They also gave their conquered states free reign over their government and religion. This over time was very expensive and led towards their downfall.
