Jackson Presidency (4 mar 1829 año – 4 mar 1837 año)
Descripción:
Jackson Presidency- March 4, 1829 – March 4, 1837
Jackson’s popularity among the people led to many suggestions that he should run to be president. At first, he was not interested in becoming president, but by 1824, he brought in enough support to get him a nomination and a seat in the Senate. Running for president, Jackson won the popular vote in a five-way race, but no candidate had the majority of electoral votes. The House had to decide the president, yet Jackson resigned from the Senate because his supported were angry that Adams won the race. Four years later he won in the Election of 1828, but he and his loved ones were personally attacked shortly after for allegations about his personal life.
