Muhammad was born and lived in the desert surrounding many trade cities such as Mecca and Mendina. He started Islam and following his death, there was a split over succession. The four rightly guided calpihs were chosen to succeed Muhammad; however they eventually did not have these caliphs in Muhammad's position.
