Started from Crete – showed Egyptian influence by 2000 and developed Monumental architecture. Greece rose from 800-600 from strong city-states and a tyrant or aristocratic council. The city states were divided by mountains which made a unified government difficult. Many celebrations were part of Grecian culture, and they developed their own written alphabet and the olympics. Greece fell to the Romans, in 146 BC
