Louis XIV or The Sun King ( because everything revolves around him) was one of France's most powerful monarchs. He built a giant palace called Versailles and invited all of the nobles to stay there. This made the nobles unable to collect their taxes and make money and gain power back in their cities. This made Louis XIV the most powerful French leader.
